What We Handle
You can sue—or be sued—in Small Claims Court for $35,000 or less (moving to $50,000 soon). Typical claims include:

Key Deadlines
- File within 2 years of the incident.
- Defendants have 20 days to respond, or risk default judgment.

$250/hour for most of our lawyers.
Litigation & Employment
$300/hour for most of our lawyers.
Junior Professionals
Work by junior lawyers, students, or clerks is billed at a lower rate stated in your retainer.
Retainer Deposit
Most files begin with a $3,000–$5,000 retainer held in trust and applied to your invoices. Limited‑scope services may require less.
Ontario‑Wide Representation
Many Small Claims hearings run on Zoom. We appear anywhere in Ontario, and request virtual proceedings when possible. If travel is required, fair mileage fees apply.
